The Suda or Souda (Greek: Σοῦδα) is a Medieval Byzantine encyclopedia. Its title is sometimes mistaken for the name of the author.

English translation (Catharine Roth, 2001)Edit

Monoceros: An animal, which from its nature had one horn. Thus those who are raised of [ = in] piety honor one godhead. David [says]: "and my horn shall be exalted like the unicorn's."
